Training Course Description
The Advanced Accident Investigation Course (AAIC) will act as a practical application of the associated ALPA Accident Investigation Course (AIC). It is intended to refine further the following areas of AIC: logistics involved in accident response and participation, the roles of various personnel responding to an accident, the goals of various on-scene investigative groups, and on-scene investigative techniques. This course is not intended to solve an accident but is designed to expand upon the on-scene activities identified in the AIC and prepare ALPA volunteers to coordinate better and participate in NTSB and TSB accident investigations. Upon completion of the AAIC course, attendees should be able to participate as Chief Accident Investigators, ALPA Party Coordinators, Observers, or members of a technical investigative group during an accident investigation.
